Policies

                                                                   New Yorker Cleaning Services – Terms & Conditions


1. Pet Safety Policy

To ensure the safety of your pets and our cleaning staff:

  • Pets must be secured in a designated area away from cleaning zones.
  • Notify us in advance if pets will be present, including any behavioral concerns.
  • Pets must not roam in workspaces during service.

Improper arrangements may result in canceled or delayed service at the client’s expense.


2. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at least 2 hours before the time of service.
  • We accept Zelle, credit/debit cards, and cash (receipt provided).
  • First-time or move-out cleanings may require a deposit.
  • Late payments will incur a 10% late fee after 48 hours from the time of scheduled service.
  • If a client’s payment does not go through or is declined, it will be considered late and will incur the 10% late fee after 48 hours from the originally scheduled service time.


3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
No-shows may be billed the full service amount.


4. Grievance Policy

Concerns about completed services must be submitted within 12 hours.

We will respond within 12 hours and take reasonable action to address the issue.


5. Scope of Services

New Yorker Cleaning Services provides luxury cleaning, including:

  • Standard cleaning
  • Deep cleaning
  • Move-in/move-out cleaning
  • Airbnb cleaning and co-hosting services
  • Organizational assistance

We do not provide:

  • Human or animal waste removal
  • Biohazard cleanup
  • Insect or rodent infestation cleanup
  • Services requiring ladders over 2 steps unless pre-approved

Additional services (e.g., inside ovens, fridge) must be requested in advance.


6. Access & Lockout Policy

  • We offer a 1-hour arrival window to accommodate NYC traffic.
  • Access options include doorman, lockbox, client presence, or spare key.
  • If cleaners are locked out, New Yorker Cleaning Services will wait up to 30 minutes for access.
  • If access is not granted within that time, the full service charge will apply.


7. Damage & Liability

New Yorker Cleaning Services treats every home and office with care and professionalism.

  • Clients must report any damage or concerns within 24 hours of service completion.
  • While we take precautions to avoid damage, New Yorker Cleaning Services does not carry liability insurance at this time and is not responsible for:
    • Pre-existing damage
    • Items not disclosed as fragile or valuable
    • Client-provided equipment failure
    • Accidental damage during cleaning

Clients are encouraged to secure or remove fragile and valuable items prior to service.


8. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you're not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours.
We will return to re-clean the affected areas at no additional cost, as long as the request falls within the original service scope.


9. Safety & Operational Guidelines

  • Staff will not lift items over 35 lbs or move large furniture.
  • We do not clean in active construction zones or areas deemed unsafe.
  • Please ensure electricity, water, and temperature control are available during service.
  • Notify us of any contagious illness in the household within 24 hours of your appointment.


10. Recurring Services

  • Recurring clients (weekly, biweekly, monthly) receive priority booking and preferred rates.
  • To skip or cancel a recurring service, notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your recurring status.


11. Termination of Services

  • Either party may cancel services by text message, email, or phone call made more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled cleaning time.
  • We reserve the right to cancel service due to unsafe conditions, repeated short-notice cancellations, or inappropriate behavior.


12. No Solicitation of Staff

Clients agree not to solicit or hire our staff directly during or within 12 months of their last service date.
Violation may result in a $10,000 referral fee and legal action.


13. Privacy & Confidentiality

We respect your privacy:

  • All keys, access codes, and personal details are stored securely.
  • We do not share or sell client information.
  • Photos may only be taken or used for marketing with written or verbal consent.


14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This agreement is governed by the laws of New York State.
Both parties agree to attempt informal resolution before pursuing legal or small claims action.


15. Policy Updates & Entire Agreement

  • Policies may be updated at any time with notice posted on our website or sent via email.
  • Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any updates.
  • This document represents the full agreement between New Yorker Cleaning Services and the client.
